Welcome to this week’s Social Media Marketing Monday. First off today, we have an article from Kristi Hines of Social Media Examiner on five different ways to use video in your social media marketing. As you probably already know, video is the future of the internet, and it is no surprise that YouTube is now the second biggest search engine on the planet, ahead of both Yahoo and Bing. That is why Google bought YouTube recently. So you need to be using videos as a part of your overall social media strategy.

One method that Kristi mentions that you may not know about is Vine, which is definitely worth checking out.

Don’t listen to social media gurus and forget the buzzwords. Here are the only 2 things you need to get started on a winning social media strategy: Are people talking about you AND did it leading to your desired outcome?
And the two things that really matter?
” People in the business of social (media marketing) tend to make things complex when at the end of the day, it really comes down to two things that matter:
1. Are people talking about you? (“you” can be a person, a brand, a product, etc.)
2. Are those conversations leading to your desired outcome? (sales, traffic, page views or whatever your desired outcome is)”.
That’s it for another Social Media Marketing Monday. Until next week, enjoy your week!
